Let the dots guide you - An Introduction to the craft of Dot Painting

Dot painting is not only culturally significant, but it can also have many practical rewards for its exponents. Drawing each dot is an excellent way to relieve tension and relax due to the contemplative and repetitive nature of the process. Focus, patience, and hand-eye coordination may all be honed with a little dot painting practice. It may even inspire new forms of expression and creativity. Dot painting is a form of expressive art therapy that has helped many people deal with difficult feelings and thoughts. Dot painting has a wide range of mental and emotional benefits for both the artist and the viewer, far exceeding the visual worth of the final work.

Thirri Thirri - Connecting The Dots', Aboriginal artist, Ashleigh, is offering mobile art and self-discovery workshops. Available to schools, workplaces, and other private events.
